Gangsta Gibbs dropped the album following the very similarly titled mixtape he released a couple weeks back. Every time I post something from Gary, Indiana’s finest I say something about how he’s keeping gangsta rap alive and this album is the polished product of mixtapes full of g anthems. Freddie Gibbs is keeping it hood in a game where lifestyle has replaced street cred as a necessity for stardom. Just look at Drake, a former Degrassi star who shares a clique with children and Nicki Minaj, not to mention the emergence of Tommy Hilfiger’s son Rich Hil. Back in the day you couldn’t be half Jewish and from Canada and blow up because you party with Wayne. Regardless, I digress from my main point, which is that Freddie Gibbs is G as fuck.
